Micalina Janice Romano passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born on November 2, 1926, in Buffalo, New York. Micalina lived a vibrant and fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends.
Micalina was predeceased by her husband Paul J. Romano.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Paul (Teresa) Ramano and Janet (Harris) Ferris: her grandchildren, Nicole (Timothy) Boutin, Lorenzo Romano, Zoe Romano: and her great-grandchildren Declan and Beckett Boutin.
Daughter of the late Nicholas and Grace (nee Sumo) Izzo.
She also leaves behind her siblings, Kathryn (Joseph) Migliore and the late Nicolas (Ethel) Izzo and Richard (Mary) Izzo.
Micalina was a co-owner of The Virginia Pastry Shoppe in Buffalo, NY. Her talent for cake decorating and crafting exquisite Italian cookies made the shop a cherished local treasure. Her culinary creations were as beautiful as they were delicious, a reflection of her artistic spirit.
Known for her generosity and zest for life, Micalina brought joy to every gathering with her engaging stories, lively conversations, and exceptional cooking. She loved dining out with loved ones, sharing laughter over meals, and dancing the night away. Her warmth and enthusiasm left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 23, 2025, at St. John Paul II Community Church, 2052 Lakeview Road, Lakeview, NY at 10:00am.
