Barnashuk – Joseph, March 12, 1960 - September 10, 2025, of Lackawanna, died unexpectedly while on a long-awaited retirement trip to Poland. Devoted son of Stella A. Barnashuk and the late Frank P. Barnashuk; brother of Terry Tupis, Elaine (Bill) Henneberry and Frank C. (Debbie) Barnashuk; cherished uncle to Paul (Karin) Tupis, Jeff (April Bartlett) Tupis, Kara (Adam Bush) Henneberry-Bush, Holly Henneberry, William (Sarah) Henneberry, Kelly Raj, Robert (Kia) Barnashuk, Kimberly (Geoff) Nason; beloved great-uncle of Colin Tupis, Austin Hennebery, Ashlyn Bush, Jacob and Evan Henneberry, Giovanna and Ravi Raj, Kennedy, Cooper and Theo Nason; adored companion of his dog Stash Allen. After over four decades working for Ironworkers Local 6, first as an ironworker and thereafter pension administrator, he recently retired in 2024. He was an ardent supporter of Polish culture and the Buffalo Bills, and a dedicated caretaker to his parents for many years. Devotion to family was the primary focus of his life, and what he will be remembered for by those who loved him most dearly.
